About
MC Rene, born René El Khazraje on 11 September 1976 in Braunschweig, is a German rapper and stand-up comedian with German-Moroccan roots, widely regarded as one of the founding voices of German hip-hop. He released his debut album Renevolution in 1995 and has remained active ever since - as a rapper, author, TV host and comedian. His style is rooted in old-school freestyle culture, with lyrics that combine personal candour and sharp social commentary.
