About
Megaloh (born Uchenna van Capelleveen, 1981 in Frankfurt am Main) is a German rapper of Dutch-Nigerian descent who grew up in Berlin-Moabit and has been one of the most respected lyricists in German hip-hop since the mid-2000s. Known for intricate rhyme schemes and socially conscious themes - racism, identity, working-class life - he broke through with the critically acclaimed album Endlich Unendlich (2013) on Max Herre's Nesola label, and followed it with Regenmacher (2016), which peaked at #2 on the German charts. His fifth studio album Schwarzer Lotus, released in October 2025 on his own label Chinonso Records, sees him producing most of the beats himself under his alias Oga Beats.
