Mija (born Amber Giles, 30 May 1992, Phoenix, Arizona) is an American DJ, producer, and label founder who broke through in 2014 after an unplanned back-to-back sunrise set with Skrillex at Bonnaroo went viral. She runs the artist-collective label Never B Alone and has built her sound around a self-described "fk a genre" ethos - moving freely between house, techno, hardgroove, and drum and bass. Now Berlin-based, she has shifted toward hardgroove and eurodance, releasing the NO RULES EP (2023) and the single "Summer Groove" (2024) to critical notice.
Mija is scheduled to perform at Ferropolis, Germany (June 19-21, 2026) and Freiburg, Germany (July 17-19, 2026), as well as The Garden festival in Tisno, Croatia (July 16-20, 2026).
Mija released the single "Obsession" on August 22, 2025.
Mija played a three-hour DJ set at the Hot Meal x BCCO New Year's Eve event at Zenner in Berlin on December 31, 2024.
SPIN magazine ran a cover story on Mija in July 2024, focusing on her pivot to hardgroove and her time producing in Berlin.
Mija released the four-track NO RULES EP on October 6, 2023, via her Never B Alone label, featuring collaborations with Cakes Da Killa, Wreckno, DEEGAN, and bloody white.
