Mike Banks is a Detroit techno producer and DJ, co-founder of the influential Underground Resistance collective. Since the early 1990s he has shaped the harder, more militant side of Detroit techno, releasing music under aliases such as Mad Mike and The Deacon. He rarely gives interviews and keeps a deliberately low public profile.
