Miten (born Andy Desmond) is a British singer-songwriter who, after a career in 1970s rock - opening for Fleetwood Mac, Lou Reed and Ry Cooder - left the music industry and found his way to Osho's ashram in Pune, India. There he met German singer Deva Premal in 1990, and together they built one of the world's most recognised acts in mantra and devotional music. Their albums have sold over 1.5 million copies and their Grammy-nominated work draws audiences seeking music as a form of meditation and communal practice.
