Modern Talking was a German Eurodisco and synth-pop duo formed in 1983 by producer Dieter Bohlen and vocalist Thomas Anders. Their debut single "You're My Heart, You're My Soul" (1984) launched a run of chart-toppers across Europe, and the duo went on to become the best-selling German music act in history, with over 120 million records sold worldwide. After splitting in 1987, Bohlen and Anders reunited in 1998 and released five more albums before parting ways for good in 2003. They were among the first Western acts whose records were officially sold in the Soviet Union, which built them a devoted following across Eastern Europe that endures to this day.
