Moka Efti Orchestra & Benno Fürmann - Der Vorhang fällt
The Moka Efti Orchestra and actor Benno Fürmann create an evening of music and theatrical drama at Munich's Prinzregententheater.
Moka Efti Orchestra is a 14-piece Berlin big band founded in 2016 by composers Nikko Weidemann and Mario Kamien and saxophonist/arranger Sebastian Borkowski, originally assembled for the internationally acclaimed German TV series 'Babylon Berlin'. Named after the real 1920s Berlin dance palace, the ensemble blends swing, hot jazz and Afro-Latin rhythms, and broke through to wider audiences with the series theme 'Zu Asche, zu Staub'. Since their debut at the XJazz Festival they have toured Germany, Poland, Norway, Denmark and Switzerland, playing venues from the Komische Oper Berlin to the Munich Philharmonie.
