About
Mondo Drag is an American heavy psych and prog-rock band formed in Davenport, Iowa, and now based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Built around the organ-driven songwriting of vocalist and keyboardist John Gamiño alongside guitarists Nolan Girard and Jake Sheley, the band draws heavily on 1970s progressive rock, krautrock, and proto-metal. Their 2023 album Through the Hourglass, released on RidingEasy Records, marked their return after a seven-year gap and is widely regarded as their most personal and musically mature work to date.
