Tribute Open Air - AC/DC, Judas Priest, Motörhead, Status Quo
An outdoor tribute concert celebrating four rock and metal legends — AC/DC, Judas Priest, Motörhead, and Status Quo — performed by dedicated tribute acts.
Motörhead were an English rock band formed in London in 1975 by bassist and vocalist Lemmy Kilmister, who remained the only constant member throughout the group's 40-year run. Playing at the crossroads of heavy metal and punk, they helped pioneer speed metal and thrash metal while always insisting they were simply a rock and roll band. Albums like Overkill (1979), Ace of Spades (1980) and the live No Sleep 'til Hammersmith (1981) cemented their reputation, and by 2025 the band had sold over 25 million records worldwide. The band disbanded in December 2015 following Lemmy's death.
Motörhead released The Manticore Tapes on 27 June 2025 via Sanctuary Records - a previously unheard 1976 studio session by the classic 'Three Amigos' lineup, unearthed to mark the band's 50th anniversary.
The second single from The Manticore Tapes, 'Leavin' Here', was released on 12 June 2025 alongside a music video directed by Stefano Bertelli.
The first single from The Manticore Tapes, the self-titled track 'Motörhead', was released on 8 May 2025, the same day the album was announced.
Classic Rock magazine awarded The Manticore Tapes four out of five stars upon release.
By 2025, Motörhead's total worldwide album sales surpassed 25 million copies.
