About

Napalm Death are a British grindcore band from Meriden, West Midlands, active since 1981 and widely credited as one of the genre's founding acts. Their 1987 debut Scum - which contains "You Suffer", the Guinness World Record holder for shortest song ever recorded at 1.316 seconds - set the template for extreme music worldwide. The current lineup of vocalist Barney Greenway, bassist Shane Embury, guitarist John Cooke and drummer Danny Herrera has been largely stable since the early 1990s, and the band remains one of the most relentlessly touring acts in heavy music.
