Nazareth are a Scottish hard rock band from Dunfermline, formed in 1968 from the remnants of local group the Shadettes. They broke through internationally with the 1975 album 'Hair of the Dog', which contained their signature tracks 'Hair of the Dog' and the ballad 'Love Hurts' - a cover that became one of the defining rock songs of the decade. Now in their sixth decade of activity, the band continues to tour with bassist Pete Agnew as the sole surviving founding member, and new vocalist Gianni Pontillo joining for 2026.
