Nik P. (born Nikolaus Presnik on 6 April 1962 in Friesach, Carinthia) is an Austrian schlager singer and songwriter who has been performing almost without interruption since the early 1990s. He wrote "Ein Stern (...der deinen Namen trägt)" in the 1980s; the 2007 re-release with DJ Ötzi spent 11 weeks at number one in Germany and became the best-selling German-language single of the 2000s, with over two million copies sold. He also works as a producer and has received multiple awards, including the ECHO 2008 for the most successful international title.
