Nils Landgren (born 15 February 1956 in Degerfors, Sweden) is a Swedish trombonist and singer who has shaped European jazz and funk for four decades, known worldwide as "The Man with the Red Horn". He founded the Nils Landgren Funk Unit in the early 1990s and has appeared on some 500 albums alongside artists ranging from Herbie Hancock to ABBA. Beyond performing, he has served as artistic director of JazzBaltica and Jazzfest Berlin, holds a professorship at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, and has received the German Federal Cross of Merit and Sweden's Litteris et Artibus medal.
Landgren released 'Love of My Life' on 13 February 2026, an orchestral album with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra arranged by Vince Mendoza, timed to his 70th birthday.
