About

Northern Lite is a German electro-pop band founded in 1997 by vocalist Andreas Kubat and producer/keyboardist Sebastian Bohn in Erfurt, Thuringia. Their sound blends synth-pop, electro and guitar-driven rock, and over nearly three decades they have released more than 15 studio albums - including the 2021 German-language record 'JA' and the 2025 album 'Vorwärts Leben'. The band gained early international attention when John Peel played their single 'Treat Me Better' on BBC Radio One in 2001, and they have since shared stages with acts ranging from The Prodigy to Massive Attack.
