About

Onslaught are a British thrash metal band from Bristol, active since 1982, who helped define the UK thrash scene alongside Sabbat, Xentrix and Acid Reign - a group sometimes called the British "Big Four". Their early albums Power from Hell (1985) and The Force (1986) are genre touchstones, and after a break from 1991 to 2005 the band has kept touring and recording, releasing their eighth studio album Origins of Aggression in May 2025.
