Pagliacci is a one-act opera by Ruggero Leoncavallo, premiered in 1892 and a cornerstone of Italian verismo. Its plot centres on jealousy and murder within a travelling theatre troupe, and the aria Vesti la giubba is among the most recognisable in the operatic canon. It is almost always performed alongside Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana.
