Palms Trax is the stage name of English DJ and producer Jay Donaldson, born in Saltford and now based in Berlin. He broke through in 2013 with the debut Equation EP on Lobster Theremin - the first release on that label - before moving to Dekmantel, where EPs like In Gold (2015) and High Point on Low Ground (2016) cemented his reputation. His sets roam freely across vintage house, acid, italo disco and leftfield electronics, and his long-running radio show Cooking with Palms Trax has aired on Berlin Community Radio since 2015.
Palms Trax and Myd released the One Thousand Waves remix EP on 24 July 2025, expanding their 2024 digital single with three new remixes.
Palms Trax performed at Rainbow Disco Club 2025, with the set released as RDC 092 on SoundCloud.
Resident Advisor featured Palms Trax in its Playing Favourites live series, recorded at Dekmantel in August 2024.
Palms Trax was announced for the Dekmantel Selectors July 2026 two-day event alongside Mia Koden and RHR.
Palms Trax is scheduled to play Mad Cool Festival in Madrid in July 2026.
