Pan-Pot is a Berlin-based techno duo formed by Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix, who met at the SAE Institute in Berlin and launched the project in 2005. Their debut album Pan-O-Rama (2007) on Mobilee Records established their signature sound - dark, driving techno with minimal and industrial edges - and tracks like "Charly" and "Confronted" became underground classics. In 2014 they founded the label Second State, which grew into one of techno's most respected imprints, home to artists such as Amelie Lens and Carl Cox. In 2025 they launched a second imprint, HUMAN, as a more personal creative outlet alongside a revitalised Second State.
Pan-Pot launched 'PLANET1', a new various-artists compilation marking a fresh chapter for their Second State label.
In a December 2025 interview, Pan-Pot confirmed new music is in preparation for 2026, describing it as more groove-oriented.
Pan-Pot launched the HUMAN imprint in 2025 as a personal creative outlet separate from Second State, with debut releases including 'Nightcode' and the Street Parade anthem 'OPERA'.
Pan-Pot released 'AERO' on April 3, 2025, the first release on the new HUMAN sub-label under Second State Audio.
Pan-Pot performed at the 30th anniversary of Time Warp festival, with the set broadcast live via ARTE.
