Peterchens Mondfahrt is a classic German fairy tale by Gerhart Hauptmann, first published in 1912. It follows two children, Peter and Anneliese, who travel to the Moon to recover the sixth leg of a beetle named Sumsemann. The story has been adapted for theatre and film many times and remains a staple of German children's literature.
