Poets of the Fall is a Finnish alternative rock band from Helsinki, active since 2003. The six-piece - fronted by vocalist Marko Saaresto alongside guitarist Olli Tukiainen and keyboardist/producer Markus "Captain" Kaarlonen - broke through internationally when their debut single "Late Goodbye" served as the closing theme for Max Payne 2. Over nine studio albums, they have built a devoted following across Finland and Central Europe, collecting two Emma Awards, the Best Finnish Act prize at the 2006 MTV Europe Music Awards, and multiple Finnish chart number ones.
Poets of the Fall launched a European summer tour in July 2026, with dates including Hamburg and other cities through September 2026.

The band released Ghostlight, their ninth studio album, on 29 April 2022 via Insomniac, completing a trilogy with Clearview (2016) and Ultraviolet (2018).
