Poliça is an American indie-electronic band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, formed in 2011 and built around singer and synth player Channy Leaneagh, two drummers, and producer Ryan Olson. Their sound - heavily processed vocals layered over dual live drums and dark synth textures - earned them early praise from Justin Vernon of Bon Iver and a devoted international following. The band has released eight studio albums, from the acclaimed debut Give You the Ghost (2012) through Dreams Go (2025) and the live-recorded Better Live (2026).
Poliça released their eighth album, Better Live, recorded during a three-week live residency at Icehouse in Minneapolis in February 2026.
Poliça announced a US, UK, and European tour for 2026 in support of Dreams Go, with European dates in Köln, Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Paris, and London.
Poliça released their seventh studio album, Dreams Go, on October 13, 2025, recorded at Pachyderm Studio in Minnesota.
MinnPost reported that Dreams Go was shaped by the band's response to bassist Chris Bierden's glioblastoma diagnosis, with the album marking his final studio sessions with the group.
With Bierden no longer able to perform live, Poliça added Alex Nutter to the touring lineup for the 2026 run.
