Prinz Pi (bürgerlich Friedrich Kautz, born 23 October 1979 in Berlin-Charlottenburg) is one of the most distinctive voices in German-language rap. He started out in 1998 under the alias Prinz Porno, then reinvented himself as Prinz Pi from 2006 onward - shifting from provocative battle rap toward philosophically charged, introspective songwriting. Three of his last seven studio albums debuted at #1 on the German charts, with all others landing in the Top 10.
