Project Pitchfork are a German darkwave and electro-industrial band founded in Hamburg in 1989 by vocalist Peter Spilles and Dirk Scheuber. Since their 1991 debut album Dhyani, every studio release from 1994 onward has charted in Germany, and the band is widely regarded as one of the defining acts of the European dark-electro scene. They were also the first gothic-industrial act to receive music-TV airplay in Germany, a milestone reached during their major-label period with Warner/EastWest in the late 1990s.
Project Pitchfork launched the Epitaph Tour Part II in March 2026, with dates across Germany including Bremen, Leipzig, Gotha, Steinberg, Berlin, Stuttgart, and Nürnberg.
The band's Epitaph Tour ran through autumn 2025, with confirmed shows in Cologne, Hanover, Hamburg, Potsdam, and other German cities.
Project Pitchfork played the Elysium Tour - Unity Pt. II at Huxleys Neue Welt in Berlin in November 2024, drawing a sold-out crowd.
Project Pitchfork released Elysium in March 2024, the third and final album of their interstellar trilogy begun with Akkretion (2018), which debuted at #3 on the German album charts.
Co-founder Dirk Scheuber departed the band at the end of 2020 to pursue his solo project Scheuber, leaving Peter Spilles and Jürgen Jansen as the core members.
