Prong is a New York metal band founded in 1986 by guitarist and vocalist Tommy Victor, then a sound engineer at the legendary punk club CBGB. Their music fuses thrash, groove metal and industrial elements - the 1994 album Cleansing remains their commercial and artistic high-water mark, with 'Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck' earning heavy MTV rotation and a UK Top 100 chart placing. Despite several lineup changes and hiatuses over the decades, Victor has kept the band active and prolific, releasing their 13th studio album State of Emergency in 2023 and signing to Napalm Records in 2025 ahead of a self-titled 14th album due in November 2026.
