Pure Reason Revolution is a British progressive rock band formed in 2003 at the University of Westminster, built around the creative core of vocalist and guitarist Jon Courtney. Their sound weaves together prog, psychedelic rock and electronic textures with layered male-female harmonies, drawing frequent comparisons to Pink Floyd and Porcupine Tree. After disbanding in 2011, the band reformed in 2019 and has since released three albums on InsideOut Music - Eupnea (2020), Above Cirrus (2022) and Coming Up to Consciousness (2024), their sixth studio record overall.
Pure Reason Revolution added a Midwinter Prog Festival date in Utrecht (7 Feb 2026) to their Dark Third 20th anniversary run, and released a remix of 'Betrayal' by Wondastation.
