Querbeat - Im Stadion
German band Querbeat performs at the stadium in Cologne.
Querbeat is a German brass-pop band founded in 2001 as a school ensemble at the Kardinal-Frings-Gymnasium in Bonn-Beuel. The group - now around 11 to 13 musicians - built its reputation through the Cologne Carnival before breaking out onto the national festival circuit with albums like 'Fettes Q' (2016) and 'Randale & Hurra' (2019). Their live shows mix brass, ska, funk and Cologne dialect pop into a high-energy spectacle that has taken them from street festivals to headline slots at Hurricane, Rock am Ring and Nova Rock.
Querbeat announced a headline concert at the RheinEnergieSTADION in Cologne on 12 June 2027 - the largest show in the band's history, with a capacity of around 42,000.
Frontman Jojo Berger revealed the stadium show announcement live at a 1. FC Köln vs. Borussia Dortmund match in front of 50,000 spectators.
Ticket pre-sale for the stadium concert launched on 11 March 2026, accompanied by a pop-up store in Cologne's Südstadt where fans could meet the band in person.
Querbeat performed at the Hurricane Festival 2025 in Scheeßel, continuing their run of major German summer festival appearances.
Querbeat received a Golden Jazz Award for their debut album 'Cuba Colonia' (2014).
