About
Rantanplan is a ska-punk band from Hamburg, founded in 1995 by singer-guitarist Torben Meissner - the only remaining original member. Their German-language lyrics tackle politics, society and religion with a sharp, sardonic wit, while the music moves freely between ska, punk and reggae. Over three decades and numerous line-up changes, the band has grown from a St. Pauli underground act into one of Germany's most enduring ska-punk institutions, landing their first German Top Ten album with the covers record Geschwedet in 2026.
