Rea Garvey (born 3 May 1973 in Tralee, Ireland) is an Irish singer, songwriter and guitarist who moved to Germany in 1998 and co-founded the pop-rock band Reamonn, whose hits like "Supergirl" and "Tonight" made them one of the biggest acts in the German-speaking world. After Reamonn disbanded in 2011, he built a successful solo career across seven studio albums, ranging from electro-pop to folk-influenced rock, and has been a recurring coach on The Voice of Germany since its first season.
Garvey released his autobiography 'Before I Met Supergirl' alongside a 14-track soundtrack album on 31 October 2025, both via Island Records / Universal Music.
His annual 'Christmas Calling' tour ran across Germany in December 2025, with shows in Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Berlin and multiple Frankfurt dates.
Garvey released the single 'Happy Christmas' in November 2025.
His fifth solo album HALO was released on 13 September 2024 under Island Records, featuring a duet with his daughter Aamor on the title track; it peaked at #6 on both the German and Swiss album charts.
A new 'Christmas Calling 2026' tour across Germany and Austria has been announced, with dates from late November through December 2026 in Baden-Baden, Leipzig, Berlin, Vienna, Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Munich and Nuremberg.
