Reid Anderson is an American jazz bassist and composer, best known as a founding member of the piano trio The Bad Plus, formed in 2000. Alongside Dave King and Ethan Iverson (later Orrin Evans), he helped shape the group's distinctive sound blending original compositions with unconventional covers of rock and electronic music. Anderson has been a central creative force and primary composer within the band throughout its 25-year run.
