Richard Bona is a Cameroonian bassist, vocalist and composer based in New York. His music weaves African rhythms together with jazz and funk, and he frequently uses his voice as an instrument - singing in Douala or in his own scat-like style. He has collaborated with Pat Metheny, Herbie Hancock and many others.
