About

Ron Pope (born 1983, raised in Marietta, Georgia) is a Nashville-based American singer-songwriter who works across Americana, folk-rock, and country. He built his following largely without major-label backing, founding his own Brooklyn Basement Records, and broke through when his 2007 piano ballad "A Drop in the Ocean" went viral - it has since crossed 1 billion streams. His prolific output spans more than 20 albums, and his writing has drawn praise from Rolling Stone, Billboard, and NPR Music.
