Ronnie Romero (born 20 November 1981 in Santiago, Chile) is a hard rock and heavy metal singer based in Europe, best known as the frontman of Lords of Black and as the lead vocalist of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow from 2015 onward. His powerful voice has made him one of the most in-demand singers in the classic rock circuit, with credits spanning Michael Schenker Group, the supergroup Elegant Weapons (alongside Judas Priest's Richie Faulkner), The Ferrymen, and Sunstorm. He also represented Bulgaria at Eurovision 2022 with Intelligent Music Project.
Romero released his second solo album 'Backbone' on 24 October 2025 via Frontiers Music, featuring co-writing contributions from Russ Ballard and a guitar solo by Kee Marcello.
Romero co-headlined the 'Convergence Tour 2025' across Germany and Poland together with guitarist Gus G, performing a mix of solo material and classic Dio, Rainbow and Ozzy covers.
A live album recorded at the Rock Imperium Festival in Spain was released on 23 May 2025 via Frontiers Music.
Romero toured the UK and the Netherlands in March 2025, with Absolva as support, visiting Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Stoke and London among other cities.
Romero co-founded the metal supergroup Elegant Weapons alongside Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner, Pantera bassist Rex Brown, and Judas Priest drummer Scott Travis.
