About

Salut Salon is an all-female chamber music quartet from Hamburg, founded in 2002 by violinists Angelika Bachmann and Iris Siegfried. The group blends classical repertoire with tango, chanson, pop and theatrical comedy - a crossover the New York Times called "masterpieces of 'classical' comedy". Their viral "Competitive Foursome" video has drawn tens of millions of views, and they perform over 100 concerts a year at venues ranging from the Elbphilharmonie to international stages. They have won the Echo Klassik (2016) and the OPUS Klassik (2022), and run a long-standing music education project for children in Hamburg and Chile.
