Santiano is a German folk-rock and sea shanty band from Schleswig-Holstein, formed in 2011 by producer Hartmut Krech in Flensburg. The five-piece group blends Irish folk, rock, and traditional shanties, and has topped the German album charts with every one of their studio releases - a run that now spans eight number-one albums. Their debut 'Bis ans Ende der Welt' (2012) became a million-seller in Germany alone, and the follow-up 'Mit den Gezeiten' was among the first German albums ever to receive Diamond certification.
