About

Selig is a German rock band from Hamburg, formed in 1993, who helped bring grunge and alternative rock to German-speaking audiences with their own-language lyrics at a time when most domestic acts sang in English. Their 1994 self-titled debut reached the German Top 40 and placed #12 in Austria; the follow-up "Hier" (1995) cracked the Top 15 and earned the band an Echo Award. After splitting in 1999, they reunited in 2008 and scored their first gold record with the comeback album "Und endlich unendlich" (2009), going on to release further studio albums through 2021.
