Serdar Somuncu (born 3 June 1968 in Istanbul) is a German-Turkish cabaret artist, actor, director and author who grew up in Neuss and studied theatre, music and directing in Maastricht and Wuppertal. He first came to wide attention in 1996 with a staged reading from Hitler's "Mein Kampf", which led to a years-long tour titled "Nachlass eines Massenmörders" playing to some 250,000 spectators across roughly 1,500 shows. Since then he has built a career as one of Germany's most provocative political satirists, hosting TV formats on ntv and rbb, releasing multiple albums and books, and performing under his alter ego "der Hassias".
Somuncu launched his new solo cabaret tour "HASSIAS - Er ist wieder da. Und er hasst euch noch immer" in September 2026, with 34+ dates running through January 2027.
