Serious Black is a German power metal band founded in January 2014 by bassist Mario Lochert, initially bringing together veterans from Helloween, Blind Guardian and Visions of Atlantis. Over seven studio albums they have built a reputation for anthemic, melodic metal with strong live credentials - more than 200 concerts across Europe, Asia and beyond. Current vocalist Nikola Mijic, who joined in 2021, gave the band a sharper, more direct sound that helped 'Vengeance Is Mine' (2022) chart at #16 in Germany.
