About
Shadow of Intent is an American symphonic deathcore band from Connecticut, founded in 2013 by vocalist Ben Duerr and guitarist/keyboardist Chris Wiseman as a Halo-themed studio project. Their sound fuses technical death metal riffing with orchestral arrangements and black metal atmosphere, drawing comparisons to Fleshgod Apocalypse and Dimmu Borgir. Operating largely independently, they broke into mainstream metal consciousness with Elegy (2022), which charted at #4 on Billboard's Top New Artist Albums. Their fifth record, Imperium Delirium, followed in June 2025.
