Shinedown is an American hard rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 2001 by vocalist Brent Smith. The current lineup - Smith, guitarist Zach Myers, bassist/producer Eric Bass, and drummer Barry Kerch - holds the all-time record for the most number-one singles on both Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and the Mediabase Active Rock chart, with over 10 million albums sold worldwide. Their eighth studio album, EI8HT, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart in June 2026, continuing a streak of five consecutive chart-toppers dating back to 2012.
EI8HT debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Hard Rock Albums chart and No. 12 on the all-genre Billboard 200 in its first week, selling 38,000 equivalent units in the US.
