SIDO is the stage name of Berlin rapper Paul Hartmut Würdig, born 30 November 1980 in Prenzlauer Berg. He broke through in 2004 with the debut album 'Maske' and its lead single 'Mein Block', a raw portrait of life in the Märkisches Viertel housing estate where he grew up. Over nine studio albums he has moved between street rap and mainstream pop, racking up number-one chart positions and platinum records - making him one of the best-selling German rappers of all time. He has also worked as an actor and TV personality.
SIDO launched his '25 Jahre Sido' anniversary tour in July 2025, with over 18 open-air shows across Germany and Austria, including an extra Berlin date at the Waldbühne added due to high demand.
Due to overwhelming ticket demand, SIDO announced additional dates for his 2025 anniversary tour shortly after the initial announcement in August 2024.
SIDO released his ninth studio album 'PAUL', named after his given name, described as his most personal record - addressing addiction, separation and loneliness.
