About

Silent Planet is an American metalcore band from Los Angeles, formed in 2009, whose name references C. S. Lewis's novel Out of the Silent Planet. Led by vocalist Garrett Russell, the group has released five studio albums - from The Night God Slept (2014) through SUPERBLOOM (2023) - blending aggressive metalcore with lyrics that tackle war, psychology, social justice, and spirituality. Their 2023 album SUPERBLOOM became their most-streamed release to date, and in June 2026 they made history as the first American band to perform in Ukraine since Russia's invasion began in 2022.
