Space 92 is the alias of French producer and DJ Mathieu Mourareau, born in Carcassonne and based in Toulouse. Launching the project in 2019, he became Beatport's best-selling Techno Peak Time artist of 2020 - a title he has held continuously since - with multiple chart-topping releases on labels including Drumcode, Filth on Acid, and Factory 93. His sound fuses driving techno rhythms with trance-influenced melodies, acid textures, and a nostalgia for 1980s sci-fi, earning him collaborations with Reinier Zonneveld, Hi-Lo, Hardwell, and UMEK. In February 2025 he launched his own imprint, TAKEOFF, which reached the Beatport top-5 techno labels within months of its first release.
Space 92 released 'Orbit Motion' as the second single on his TAKEOFF label; the track reached #1 on Beatport's Techno Peak Time chart.
Space 92 launched his debut record label TAKEOFF with the inaugural 'Offbeat' EP, released on Beatport and Spotify on 21 February 2025.
Within months of its first release, TAKEOFF reached #5 in the worldwide Techno Label Beatstats Top 20.
Space 92 performed at Resistance Ultra Tokyo, Seoul, and Miami as part of the Turbulence hybrid live act with French artist POPOF.
Space 92 was again crowned the world's biggest-selling Techno artist on Beatport for 2024.
