Stefan Gwildis (born 22 October 1958 in Hamburg) is a German soul and R&B singer who built his reputation over five decades performing in clubs, theatres and concert halls across Germany. He broke through nationally with the 2003 album 'Neues Spiel' - German-language reworkings of American soul classics - which spent 13 weeks in the charts and earned him the Goldene Stimmgabel award as 'Aufsteiger des Jahres'. Known for his raspy voice and unpredictable live shows, he performs in formats ranging from intimate duo sets to full philharmonic orchestras.
