Suicide Commando is a Belgian electro-industrial project founded by Johan Van Roy in 1986, and one of the longest-running acts in the genre. Van Roy is the sole studio member, with a live lineup that adds Torben Schmidt on keyboards and Mario Vaerewijck on drums. From the debut album Critical Stage (1994) through to Goddestruktor (2022) - which charted at #9 on the official German album charts - the project has built a catalogue of dark-electronic club anthems spanning four decades. Van Roy also co-founded the influential Dependent Records label in 1999.
Suicide Commando performed a sold-out 40th anniversary show at Wave-Gotik-Treffen 2026 in Leipzig, with the AGRA hall described as more packed than ever before.
A 2025 version of the track 'Come Down With Me' was released as an official audio single via Out of Line.
The first three Suicide Commando studio albums were released on vinyl for the first time, also available as the limited 'Impressions of Death' LP fan box containing 3×2LPs with a certificate and exclusive booklet.
In a late-2024 interview, Van Roy confirmed extensive 2025 touring plans covering the USA, Mexico, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, Portugal and Estonia.
The album Goddestruktor reached #9 on the official German album charts, the project's highest chart position to date.
