Sunami is an American beatdown hardcore band from San Jose, California, formed in 2019 by veterans of Bay Area acts including Gulch and Drain. What started as a parody of heavy hardcore tropes quickly outgrew the joke: a viral debut show and relentless touring built them into one of the most talked-about names in the genre. Their self-titled debut album, released June 2023 on Triple B Records, arrived after a Spring 2023 North American headline run where all 28 dates sold out.
