Talco is an Italian ska-punk band from Marghera, near Venice, active since the late 1990s. They blend ska and punk with Italian folk elements - a style they call 'punkchanka' - and pair it with sharply political lyrics covering anti-fascist, anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist themes. Over more than ten studio albums they have built a loyal following across Europe, particularly in Germany, where their 2009 anthem 'St. Pauli' made them a fixture at FC St. Pauli's Millerntor-Stadion.
