About

Tanzwut is a Berlin-based medieval rock band formed in the late 1990s as a side project of Corvus Corax. The group blends bagpipes and other historical instruments with heavy guitars, electronics and German-language lyrics in a style that sits between Mittelalter-Rock and Neue Deutsche Härte. After splitting from Corvus Corax in 2010, Tanzwut built an independent career spanning eleven studio albums, with chart entries in Germany reaching as high as #11. Frontman Teufel and his rotating cast of Spielleute are a fixture at medieval festivals and alternative rock venues across the German-speaking world.
