The Amity Affliction are an Australian metalcore band from Queensland, active since 2003. Their music blends melodic metalcore with post-hardcore textures and lyrics that deal openly with grief, addiction and mental health. Their 2014 album Let the Ocean Take Me debuted at #1 on the ARIA Charts, and across nine studio albums they have accumulated over a billion streams worldwide and four #1 records in Australia. In 2025, founding bassist and vocalist Ahren Stringer was fired from the band; the current lineup continues with Jonathan Reeves on bass and vocals.
The Amity Affliction released their ninth studio album, House of Cards, on 24 April 2026 via Pure Noise Records, produced by guitarist Dan Brown.
The band announced the House of Cards EU 2026 headline tour across Europe and the UK for autumn 2026, with support from Silent Planet, Varials and Orthodox.
On 14 February 2025, the band announced that founding bassist and vocalist Ahren Stringer had been fired; Jonathan Reeves (ex-Kingdom of Giants) joined as his permanent replacement.
The band released the standalone single 'All That I Remember' in June 2025, kicking off the second half of the year ahead of North American and European touring.
In September 2024, the band released Let the Ocean Take Me (Redux), a fully re-recorded and remastered version of their landmark 2014 album, to mark its 10th anniversary.
