The Birthday Massacre is a Canadian gothic synth-rock band formed in 1999 in London, Ontario, now based in Toronto. Built around vocalist Sara 'Chibi' Taylor and guitarist/programmer Michael Rainbow, the band blends heavy guitar riffs with electronic textures and melodic vocals - drawing equally on 1980s synth-pop and gothic rock. Signed to Metropolis Records since 2005, they have released ten studio albums and built a devoted following across North America and Europe.
