The Imposters are the British backing band that has accompanied Elvis Costello since 2002, built around three core members: keyboardist Steve Nieve, drummer Pete Thomas and bassist Davey Faragher. Nieve and Thomas both played in Costello's earlier band, the Attractions, giving the group a direct line to his classic late-1970s sound. Together with Costello they have recorded a string of studio albums - from The Delivery Man (2004) through to The Boy Named If (2022) - and toured virtually without interruption across four decades.
